the trees

the rustle of grass beside your head. 

the vastness

the endlessness 

the blue of the sky

the colors of sunrise

the wind in your hair

the tiredness of your legs.

the wildflowers

the rain

the alpine lakes

the fresh snow

the clouds on the horizon

the dirt under your feet and between your toes

the sand in your sleeping bag

the bugs in your tent

the smoke on your clothes

in your hair

on your skin.
